Many years ago whilst reading an article about an artist, I was struck by a story he told about his small son. He was recalling the first occasion that his son encountered a sheep in the fields near their home. When he saw the sheep for the first time in his life that day he shouted – "Look Daddy, a clouddog". He knew what a dog looked like, and he knew what a cloud looked like, so in his mind he simply put the two together and created his own name for this new being: a clouddog.  

This vignette, for me, captures the wonder of childhood, the open mind, the vast imagination and the uninhibited creativity of youth. clouddog aspires to recreate an environment where the students could be inspired to pause, wonder, question and therefore, dare to enrich their own and others’ environments.
