Health & Safety
• The safety of all students and leaders is extremely important to us. All of the activities have been prepared with Health and Safety in mind. They are not physically arduous, and students won’t be forced to do anything they are not comfortable with.
• At all times the guides and leaders will have access to Emergency Medical Facilities.
• Details and qualifications of the guides participating in your child’s specific clouddog experience will be provided to you prior to your child’s departure.
• The Eastern Cape of South Africa (Shamwari) is recognised as malaria free. Kwa Zulu Natal (Trail & Zulu home stay) is recognised as a very low risk area. Further information on precautions and vaccinations will be supplied to all participants.

Contact
• Contact with home will be limited due to the Wilderness aspect of the scholarship. Parents/Guardians of any participating students will receive information on how to contact their child in case of emergency.

How it works
• The clouddog partners are extremely experienced in each of their respective fields and have extensive expertise in dealing with young adults.
• All lodging and bedding as well as meals will be provided by each of the partners. Note that all lodging will be indoors except on the Wilderness Trail. Male and female participants will be segregated for accommodation purposes.
• Drugs and alcohol will not be tolerated.

Transportation
• Major airlines will be used for all student and leader travel requirements.
• All ground transportation to and from airports, as well as internal transfers from airports to the lodge locations, will be booked and operated by reputable companies already familiar to the selected partners.
